Office Furniture Installation and Fitting

Furniture is the part of an office move that decides whether the new space is ready to work in. Universal handles the full range of office furniture work across London, from dismantling and reassembly during a move to installing new furniture and reconfiguring what you already have. We do it as part of a relocation or as a standalone project, and we finish with a proper snagging check so the space is signed off as complete rather than left almost done.

Dismantling

Before a move or a reconfiguration, we break down desks, bench systems, storage, shelving and partitions safely and methodically, keeping fixings together and labelling components so nothing is lost and everything can be rebuilt correctly. Careful dismantling protects the furniture and makes the reassembly at the other end faster and cleaner.

Reassembly

At the new site, furniture is reassembled to the agreed floor plan, positioned where it belongs and built to the manufacturer's specification, so desks, storage and screens are solid, level and ready to use. Reassembly is planned into the move sequence so a floor is furnished and set up as the move progresses, not after it.

New furniture installation

Where a move or refurbishment involves new furniture, we take delivery, assemble and install it, and position it to the layout, so a new desk system, storage wall or meeting-room fit is installed and ready alongside the rest of the move. That means one team handling both the existing furniture and the new, rather than coordinating separate suppliers on the day.

Reconfiguration

Existing furniture can be reworked to a new layout rather than replaced, whether that is adding desks for a growing team, splitting a floor into new zones, or changing the way a space works. This ties directly into our internal moves and workplace reconfiguration service, so a layout change and the furniture work behind it are delivered together, usually out of hours.

Snagging and sign-off

Once the furniture is in, we walk the space, check every item is correctly built, level and in position, and put right anything that needs adjusting before we confirm the work as complete. That final snagging step is what turns a furnished floor into one that is genuinely ready for people to sit down and work.

Furniture fitting sits alongside our full office relocation service, and can be booked on its own. To plan it, request a survey and a written quote, or get a quote here.
